This summer has certainly been busy with events! A few weeks ago, I went to another wedding. This time, it was for my cousin, Kelby. They were a cute couple, she was a beautiful bride, the day was perfect. It was a little windy at the temple for picture-taking, but all-in-all a gorgeous day for the end of September. They actually got married on September 22, fourteen years to the day that my Grandpa Sayer died. I can’t help but think that he was in attendance to watch his grandson get married and see his family.
Corey didn’t get to go down to the wedding with me since the wedding was on a Thursday and he couldn’t take anymore time off. :c( But I still enjoyed myself and it was great to see members of my family, some of whom I haven’t seen for a couple of years.
Kind of a funny thing happened at the temple after the wedding. Since the carpets in the temple are white, wedding guests have to take their shoes off, put on white socks, and put their shoes on shelves. After the wedding, my cousin, Marshall saw a pair of cowboy boots and thought that no one in that party other than my dad would wear cowboy boots to the temple. To be funny, Marshall started putting the cowboy boots on when he heard someone say, “Those are my boots!” Marshall had obviously grabbed the wrong pair of boots, because my dad did, in fact, wear boots to the temple! Marshall turned red and explained himself to the gentleman, who just laughed. :c)
Anyhow, here are some images from that weekend:
The reception was in Uncle Kim and Aunt LaRae’s back yard. It was soooo beautiful! They’ve put a lot of hard work into it. This was where my wedding reception was supposed to be before it got rained out. *sigh* If only. I’m glad that the weather cooperated for Carly and Kelby’s special day. :c)
