A Bit O’ This And That

     I focused so much on the “All About Me” posts, that I didn’t write about what actually went on in my life for the past month or so, so here it comes in a whirlwind…

  We had a blast with Corey’s family in Utah at his step-sister, MaryAnne’s, wedding.  She was a beautiful bride and we’re so happy for her! 

     Root Canal.  Yep.  Me, the hygienist, had to have a root canal because my tooth died from trauma.   It makes me more empathetic towards my patients.  :c)  Actually, it wasn’t bad at all.  Didn’t even take an Advil.  I can’t be so empathetic, I guess.

  We went camping with our friends, Dallas and Heather.  We did the usual camping things, played frisbee, and rode 4-wheelers.  We had to laugh because our rather noisy and obnoxious (and probably drunk) camping neighbors were cutting down a tree and it fell on their ATV trailer. 

We went to the Eastern Idaho State Fair.  It’s tradition.  I’ve been doing it with my family nearly every year since I was little.  Corey and I even caught the rodeo this year. 

  We went to the annual Mackay BBQ again this year.  This is also tradition.  Have you ever seen Gilmore Girls?  If you haven’t, you should.  Love it.  The first seasons are my favorite.  Somehow I forgot to include it in the My Favorite Shows post.  Sorry.  Tangent.  Anyhow, the town that Gilmore Girls is based in, Stars Hollow, reminds me of my small town.  It’s a close-knit small town with a warm camaraderie and its own quirky characters.  I love going home.  I skipped my staff party to go to the BBQ.  If you compete with the BBQ, you’ll lose every time! 

  And last but not least, Corey is now a shark.  A Nova Southeastern University shark, that is.  Corey started grad school this summer and is taking online courses.  I’m proud of him.  I don’t know if I’d have the motivation to do online courses.  He got an A on his last big assignment, too!   Good job, Hun!
